Bhimduttanagr, Feb 26: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs Kamal Thapa has claimed that the Hindu State would be revived in Nepal despite abortive efforts of foreign forces to establish other religion.
Opening the chariot procession featuring a cow idol at Bhimdutta Municipality-8, Sharada Peeth Jhamkeni Dham of Kanchanpur on Friday morning, DPM Thapa accused the foreign forces of taking undue advantage of Nepal's poverty and illiteracy for pushing the agenda of declaring Nepal a secular state.
Thapa, also the Chairperson of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPP-N), stressed the need of collective efforts from all Nepalis to retain Nepal as the Hindu State. "We do only possess the strength to be a Hindu State", he said, adding that, "It is our right to declare Nepal a Hindu State".
Though there are 1.08 billion Hindu populations in the world no country is with the status of Hindu State, leader Thapa further said.
Meanwhile, the Bhakkeni Dham Development Committee felicitated DPM Thapa on the occasion.
First Jagadguru in Nepal Mohan Sharan Devacharya honoured Thapa with shawl and a letter of appreciation in recognition of his contribution to the promotion of religious tourism and Hinduism in western region.
Likewise, five Bhatta brothers of Bhimduttanagar municipality-18 have bore the expenses of Rs 888,000 for establishing the chariot handed over to the Dham by DPM Thapa.
The Bhatta brothers including Keshav Bhatta took the bid of setting up chariot in memory of their late father Bhawani Prasad Bhatta.
